28th – 29th March 2006 Rovaniemi, FINLAND
The fifth Barents Industrial Partnership Meeting will take place on 28 – 29 March 2006 in Rovaniemi.
The theme of the meeting will be: New Openings: Infrastructure investments and Subcontracting in the Barents Region
The aim is to stimulate business involvement in cross-border co-operation and we hope that this meeting will identify new opportunities for private and public actors to build a model for active cooperation in infrastructure and transportation investments in the Barents region. Another significant subject will be trade, investments and subcontracting in the Barents region.
The Barents Euro-Arctic Council and the Barents Regional Council, under the respective chairmanships (2005-2007) of Finland and the Republic of Karelia, give priority to the promotion of cross-border business cooperation in order to strengthen the region’s international competitiveness and to generate economic growth.
Previous Barents Industrial Partnership Meetings were organised in Stockholm and Petrozavodsk in 2004 and in Oslo and St. Petersburg last year.
The 5th Barents Industrial Partnership Meeting will be held at the Arktikum Centre in Rovaniemi. Russian and English, Finnish and English interpretation will be provided. Please find below the programme for the meeting and a registration form to be returned as soon as possible.
